By Olga Di Paola 6 min read

  • €0.37 to €1.29a click, typical local search term
  • 38 of 54search terms stay under €2
  • 1 in 5established businesses runs Google ads

A click on a Google ad in Cyprus costs between €0.37 and €1.29 for the typical local search term. That is the middle of the price ranges Google reports for 54 search terms, from barber shop to lawyer, in October 2026. The most expensive is lawyer, at up to €9.15 a click. The cheapest is taxi, at up to €0.66.

The prices are Google's own, for searches made in Cyprus, converted to euros (where they come from). The numbers on who advertises come from our own count of 1,225 businesses.

How much does a click on Google Ads cost in Cyprus?

For most local search terms, less than €2. Of the 54 terms we looked up, 38 stay under €2 a click even at the upper end of their range, and 11 stay under €1.

Google gives every search term a range and not one price. It shows what advertisers paid to stand at the top of the page: one in five paid less than the lower figure, and one in five paid more than the upper figure.

Four terms reach €5 or more at the upper end: lawyer, kindergarten, tutoring and vet.

What does a click cost in your industry?

Between €0.66 and €9.15 at the upper end, depending on the search term. A barber shop pays up to €1.22 a click, a dentist up to €1.45, a car rental company up to €2.64.

These are single words, as people type them. A longer search such as "emergency plumber Limassol" has its own price, and fewer people type it. Words like restaurant, hotel or tennis are searched for many reasons, and only some of those people want to book.

Why are clicks cheap in Cyprus?

Because few businesses bid. Google rates the competition as low for 43 of the 54 search terms and as medium for 11. It rates none as high.

The price of a click comes from an auction between the advertisers. Fewer bidders mean lower prices.

How much budget do you need?

Count in clicks. At the typical range, 100 clicks cost between €37 and €129. For a lawyer, 100 clicks cost between €130 and €915.

  1. Take the upper end of your search term from the table.
  2. Multiply it by the number of clicks you want in a month.
  3. Then ask how many of those visitors call or write. That number, and not the click price, decides what an enquiry costs you.

We do not print a share of visitors who enquire. It differs too much from one page to the next, and any single number would be a guess. Agencies add a fee for running the ads. Ours starts at €490 a month, see Google Ads in Cyprus.

How many businesses in Cyprus run Google ads?

About one in five of the established ones. Of 1,225 businesses with a website and a solid number of Google reviews, 236 had active Google ads in the 30 days before our check.

  • Car dealers, furniture, kitchens and solar: 32 %
  • Hotels: 26 %
  • Car rental, diving and boats: 24 %
  • Property and construction: 22 %
  • Hair, barber and beauty salons: 16 %
  • Law and accounting firms: 16 %
  • Dental and skin clinics: 13 %
  • Gyms and classes: 10 %

By city: Paphos 23 %, Limassol 21 %, Nicosia 18 %, Larnaca 14 %.

Is Google Ads worth it for a small business?

At these prices the click is rarely the problem. What happens after the click is. Of the pages behind the ads we measured, 136 of 165 take four seconds or longer to load on a phone, and 73 of 188 advertisers have no recognisable way to count the enquiries their ads bring.

A business that pays €1.30 for a visitor and then makes that visitor wait ten seconds risks paying for people who leave. A business that cannot count enquiries cannot tell whether the ads work. Both are fixed on the website, not in the ads account.

Our view: check the page first, then buy clicks. See how fast business websites in Cyprus load.

How did we get these prices?

From Google. We looked up 65 search terms for searches made in Cyprus on 12 October 2026, through the data that Google's Keyword Planner provides. 54 of them have a price range.

  1. The range is what Google calls the top of page bid. Google describes the lower figure as about the 20th percentile and the upper figure as about the 80th percentile of what advertisers paid, over the last 30 days.
  2. The search terms are the main searches of the industries we work on, plus ten everyday trades such as plumber and electrician. They are in English.
  3. For eleven terms Google gives no range, because too few advertisers bid. Among them are physiotherapy, psychologist and driving school.

What the numbers cannot show:

  • Google reports these prices in US dollars. We converted them to euros at the reference rate of the European Central Bank of 9 October 2026: 1 euro is 1.1206 dollars.
  • They hold for the whole of Cyprus. A search in one city can cost more or less.
  • They change. The ranges cover the last 30 days.
  • Searches in Greek have prices of their own. We did not look them up.
  • The count of advertisers covers established businesses with a website, not every business in Cyprus.
